Data Deletion & Requests

TripsMitra respects your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Use this page to request deletion of your account, access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or withdraw marketing consent.
1) What You Can Request
- Account closure and deletion of profile data (email, phone number, authentication history).
- Removal from marketing communications and analytics audiences.
- Copies of booking records, invoices, or communications involving your account.
- Corrections to traveller information stored for upcoming tours.
2) Records We Must Retain
Certain records must be stored for statutory periods, including invoices, payment confirmations, and contracts with on-ground partners. When deletion is not possible, we retain the minimum data required and restrict it to compliance personnel only.
3) How to Submit a Request
- Email us from your registered address at contact@tripsmitra.com or call +91 8722222211 / +91 8884477768. Include "Data Request" in the subject line.
- Specify the type of request (deletion, access, correction, marketing opt-out) and list the bookings or services involved.
- We will verify your identity by OTP, recent booking information, or payment references before processing the request. This prevents unauthorised access.
- Upon verification, we will confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete eligible requests within 15 working days unless an extension is required by law.
4) What Happens After Deletion
- Your account is deactivated and login is disabled via OTP, password, Google, and Facebook.
- Upcoming bookings may be cancelled if required to fulfil your deletion request; standard cancellation terms apply.
- We anonymise analytics data and retain only the elements necessary to comply with tax or travel regulations.
- You can reactivate later by creating a new account or contacting support for assistance.
